Our instructor pathway prepares qualified individuals to become life-saving educators who teach CPR, AED and Basic Life Support courses — with our team beside you from your first course to your first solo class.

Hold a current AHA BLS Provider card
Complete instructor preparation and course orientation
Build teaching, coaching and classroom management skills
Learn AHA standards, documentation and expectations
Grow confidence through practice and monitored teaching
Align with our Training Site with ongoing mentorship
Required before your course
Every instructor candidate must complete the BLS Instructor Essentials Online Course before attending the in-person Instructor Course. We also recommend having your BLS Instructor Manual on hand.
